Readiness is not a prediction of whether VA will grant a claim. It is an organization check: do you know the issue, have the core records, understand the evidence questions, and know what remains unresolved?

Confirm the claim type and condition or issue being addressed.

Inventory relevant service, medical, lay, and prior-decision evidence.

Identify missing records, forms, dates, or unanswered evidence questions.
