Professional Services Agreement

Last updated: August 29, 2026

For attorneys, VA-accredited claims agents, practices, and authorized professional staff

Mission ClaimReady™ is technology. It does not confer accreditation or replace the Professional's duties to the claimant, VA, courts, licensing authorities, or other regulators.

1. Scope and Acceptance

This Professional Services Agreement ("Agreement") applies to attorneys, VA-accredited claims agents, professional organizations, and authorized staff using Mission ClaimReady™ professional features. It supplements the general Terms of Service. If this Agreement conflicts with the general Terms regarding Professional Services, this Agreement controls.

2. Technology Provider — Not the Representative

Mission ClaimReady™ provides software, workflow, document, educational, electronic-signature, AI-assisted, and integration tools. Mission ClaimReady™ does not become the claimant's representative, attorney, claims agent, fiduciary, or VSO merely because the Platform is used. The Professional remains solely responsible for professional judgment, representation, filings, deadlines, advice, and compliance.

3. Accreditation and Authority

You represent that any person performing activities requiring VA accreditation is appropriately accredited and authorized to do so. You must keep accreditation and professional information current. Mission ClaimReady™ does not confer VA accreditation or authority to represent a claimant. We may restrict representation-related features if accreditation cannot be verified, has expired, is suspended, or if use creates a compliance or security risk.

4. Appointment and VA Form 21-22a

When an accredited attorney or claims agent represents a claimant, the Professional is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the proper appointment, including VA Form 21-22a when applicable, and for ensuring all required signatures and information are accurate. Platform status indicators are workflow aids and are not legal determinations that representation has been accepted by VA.

5. Fees and Fee Agreements

The Professional is solely responsible for determining whether a fee may lawfully be charged, the amount and structure of any fee, required notices or filings, and compliance with applicable VA statutes, regulations, accreditation rules, and professional-responsibility obligations. Any Platform fee-status or chargeability indicator is a compliance aid only and is not legal advice or authorization to charge a claimant.

6. Veteran Data and Confidentiality

Professional Users may access veteran information only for an authorized business or representation purpose. You may not sell, rent, monetize, mine for unrelated purposes, disclose for advertising, or otherwise exploit veteran personal information, claim information, health-related information, military records, uploaded documents, or AI interactions. You must maintain appropriate confidentiality and access controls and promptly remove access for personnel who no longer require it.

7. Organization and Staff Accounts

The subscribing organization is responsible for its users, role assignments, account security, and staff supervision. Credentials may not be shared. Staff may use only features appropriate to their authorization and supervision. The Professional is responsible for ensuring non-accredited personnel do not perform activities requiring accreditation or independent professional judgment.

8. AI-Assisted Features

AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular matter. AI is an assistive tool and not a substitute for professional judgment. The Professional must independently review and verify AI-generated summaries, drafts, issue identification, calculations, extracted information, and recommendations before relying on or transmitting them. Mission ClaimReady™ does not provide legal advice through AI features.

9. Electronic Signatures

You consent to the use of electronic records and signatures where legally permitted. You are responsible for selecting the correct document, signers, signature authority, and final document. Mission ClaimReady™ may use third-party electronic-signature infrastructure. A Platform status or audit record does not independently establish that a document satisfies every legal, ethical, evidentiary, or agency-specific requirement.

10. VA and Third-Party Integrations

At the direction of an authorized user, the Platform may transmit information or documents to, or retrieve information from, VA systems and other service providers. You authorize transmissions you initiate and are responsible for verifying claimant authorization and submission accuracy. VA and third-party services may be unavailable, delayed, changed, rejected, or discontinued. A successful Platform transmission is not a guarantee that VA accepted, adjudicated, or associated a submission with the correct record; confirmation and status should be reviewed.

11. Data Security

You must use reasonable safeguards, including unique credentials, appropriate devices, access restrictions, and prompt reporting of suspected unauthorized access. You may not attempt to bypass security controls, extract credentials or tokens, or access another organization's data. Mission ClaimReady™ may suspend access to protect users, veterans, or the Platform while a suspected security incident is investigated.

12. Records, Export, and Retention

Professional Users remain responsible for their own professional recordkeeping obligations. Platform retention, export, or backup features do not replace requirements imposed by law, VA rules, court rules, bar rules, malpractice carriers, or organizational policies. Upon termination, access may end subject to applicable export, retention, security, and legal requirements.

13. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Platform to fabricate evidence, coach false testimony, submit knowingly false information, impersonate a claimant or representative, conceal material alterations, circumvent VA requirements, violate another person's privacy, or engage in unauthorized practice or representation.

14. Subscriptions

Professional subscriptions are licensed to the subscribing user or organization under the selected plan. Fees for Mission ClaimReady™ software are separate from any representation fee charged by a Professional to a veteran. Subscription payment does not purchase accreditation, referrals, favorable VA treatment, or claim outcomes.

15. No Outcome Warranty

Mission ClaimReady™ does not warrant approval of a claim, a particular disability rating, effective date, VA processing time, accreditation result, appeal outcome, or uninterrupted availability of VA or third-party systems.

16. Indemnification and Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Professional and subscribing organization are responsible for claims arising from their professional services, unauthorized access they permit, unlawful fees, inaccurate filings, misconduct, or violation of this Agreement. Limitations of liability in the general Terms apply except where prohibited by law.

17. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate Professional Services for material violation of this Agreement, suspected fraud, security threats, misuse of veteran data, loss or suspension of required accreditation, unlawful use, or conduct that creates material risk to veterans, Mission ClaimReady™, or third parties.

18. Changes and Contact

We may update this Agreement as the Platform, integrations, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be presented as required. Questions may be sent to legal@missionclaimready.com.
